Spring Semester Roundup

Spring Semester Roundup

This post is coming on a Wednesday because I've just made it back to Austin, and the last few days have been a whirlwind - which is perfectly fitting for the theme of this week's post.

The school year has its way of creeping by so slowly sometimes and then when it comes time for it to be over, I always wonder where it went. Sophomore year flew by quicker than I ever thought possible. I've heard people say that every year of college goes by faster and faster - I believe them!

As I am halfway through my college career, I have a roundup of last semester and all of its memories.

This weekend, my team and I competed at the Big 12 Championships and placed second overall. This team never fails to make me smile and the feeling of crossing the finish line with your teammates is something I cannot explain.

My boat in the 1V4 grand final on Sunday morning

So much love for the girls in the 1V4 this season. We spent an unthinkable amount of time together over the past two months, and our friendships grew stronger as the season went on. It's a great feeling to know you did the best you could and you did it with great people. The season wouldn't have been the same without them!

And when I wasn't rowing...

...I was probably drinking coffee. One of my favorite memories from this semester was driving to Guthrie, Oklahoma to visit Hoboken Coffee. My friend Katie was in Guthrie in November and she told me about Hoboken. It was easily worth the drive and I would go back for sure.

But Norman isn't lacking in cute and cozy coffee shops either. Caroline and I loved to spend Sundays at a coffee shop studying (or something like that). My favorite in Norman is Second Wind, so if you ever find yourself in Norman, check it out on Campus Corner...it's the building with the blue wall!

Speaking of towns in Oklahoma...C and I also took a day trip to Tulsa back in February. Read about the whole day trip here! P.S. Peep the matching sunnies :)

I was even able to visit Katie in Ft. Worth for a weekend! She'll be started at TCU next semester and I can't wait for her to officially be in Texas and be so close to Norman. A full weekend recap here!

Have I ever mentioned Oklahoma sunrises? ;) Waking up before the sun is great when this is the view and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Honorable Mention
