Tips for Doing Well this Semester

Tips for Doing Well this Semester

One of my unwritten goals for the semester was to succeed. Not just make good grades, but to truly do well for myself as a whole. To me, this is a goal in everyday life and as I progress through college.

Stay Organized I keep everything school related written down in my Lilly Pulitzer agenda. Every year I buy the Jumbo planner so I have plenty of room to write everything out. From to-do lists to daily assignments and due dates, everything is there so I know what's coming up with a quick glance.

Stay Committed Towards the middle of the semester it's easy to get tired and give up pretty easily. If you stick with it, it will be much easier for yourself when it comes to finals week. Personally I like to use Sunday's to get caught up on cleaning, homework and other assorted things. My favorite part of the Sunday's is going to one of my favorite coffee shops in Norman and getting some work done for the week. It's a mini success to begin the week and I love getting to see more of Norman now and then.

Make Time for Yourself I usually mention something like this in all of my college posts but it's very important. When I say "yourself", I don't necessarily mean just you. By this I mean you should spend some time doing the things you like to do. School can be difficult and can get to be a lot at times so taking time for yourself can be helpful. This could be going to dinner with friends or even just watching a movie but it should be something where you are able to completely let go of those stressful parts of school just for a little bit.

Be Inspired Like I said earlier, it can be easy to lose hope in the middle of the semester. Your little bit of inspiration can be your motivation for you to press on when you just don't feel like it anymore. Why get down when you know something great is coming? Whether it be looking forward to an event or seeing your family or friends, it should be your reason to smile and what motivates you.
