Hi! I'm Emily, the writer, editor and photographer of The Denver Darling. 

I began blogging in January 2015 as my senior project with only an Instagram account and very little knowledge of what I was doing. After spending so much time keeping my writing to myself in journals and on my desktop, I began publishing it here. I fell in love and never looked back.

I’m a proud alum of the University of Oklahoma where I studied public relations. The sport of rowing is what took me to Oklahoma, and I am forever grateful for it. Boomer Sooner!

I love love love writing as it has always been a huge passion of mine, and with my PR degree, I hope to be able to write for the rest of my life. TDD is a great place for me to share what I love to do with you. 

Although my blog is called The Denver Darling, I'm a Colorado transplant living in Dallas, Texas. Undergrad took me to Oklahoma, post grad life took me to Austin and my latest and final degree brought me here.

I grew up in Colorado and lived there up until I moved to Norman for school in August 2015. I miss those beautiful Rocky Mountains everyday but Texas now has my heart.
