Hi there!

Welcome to my blog. I hope you find something that inspires you, makes you smile or gives you an itch to create something new. Take a look around, talk soon!

Back in Norman

Back in Norman

It's already the fifth week of school and the thought that it is almost October blows my mind. Summer flew by too but I was very excited to be back in Norman and to see all the people and places I missed so much. Norman is the perfect college town and I really couldn't picture myself anywhere else.

There are very few things that could beat college football and game days. Our first game of the season was at Houston but we've had two home games so far, and though losing to OSU, it's always a day to remember.

The first game was an even more special day too because my family was here! My cousin, Ben, plays football at ULM and it worked out perfectly that we were playing ULM for our first home game. Game day is great and it's even better with family and friends by your side.

Between the football games and all the other fun things, I try to fit in some time to study :)

My favorite places to study are always coffee shops. Campus Corner is just a few minutes from my apartment and has some really adorable places that are perfect for studying. My personal favorites are Crimson and Cream and Second Wind Coffeehouse. Having a good place to get comfortable and study is an essential for me. My roommates and I have made a habit of picking a coffee shop to study at on Sunday afternoons and it is one of my favorite parts of the weekend.

(PS. Music is essential. You can find my studying playlist here on Spotify)

I've also had some time to get settled and stick to my goals for the semester. Trying to figure out how to make my schedule work how I need it has been the hardest part so far. Organization is one of my favorite things so I've been trying to use my planner to keep everything in line and it is the best solution there is.

If you've never seen an Oklahoma sunrise, you should definitely set your alarm for an early morning and go outside to get a glimpse. One of my favorite parts of getting up so early every morning is getting to see the amazing sunrises on the water. People who say Oklahoma has nothing has never seen an Oklahoma sunrise!

Every semester has its ups and its downs and I'm happy to say it hasn't been too crazy yet. To everyone else in school, I hope everything is well and I wish you a great rest of the year to you!
