Senior Portraits

Senior Portraits

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to do my very first senior portrait session! I've been playing around with my camera all year (and even though I haven't advertised for senior portraits), one of my very close friends ask me to take some photos for her yearbook. I was so excited when she asked me because I knew it would be low pressure and it would be fun to try out some new things.

We started out my just trying around with the typical senior picture poses and then we started to get creative. It was so fun because we're so close that she didn't feel bad about telling me if she didn't like a photo or if she didn't love the pose I asked her to do.

We went to Daniel's Park for a beautiful backdrop and we were lucky because a storm was just starting to roll in when we were finishing up. The photo above was towards the end of our session and I just love the look of the sky in the background. It isn't too much, to where it takes away from the subject. But, it is subtle and very pretty.

The photo above is one of my personal favorites. We were just playing around with some new things and I told her to do a big cheesy smile and rest her head of her fists. It turned out really great and I loved getting to take these photos!

You can view more of these senior portraits under the Photography tab!
