Intro to Sewing Class
A few weeks ago, my mom and I took an Intro to Sewing Class at Fabric Bliss in Denver. It was so great for the beginning sewer because they were good about making sure that we knew the correct terminology and we knew what we were doing. We were in a class of about 5 ladies who also had never sewn before. The instructor, Maggie, was very knowledgable and with the small class size, she was able to get around to everyone to help.
They gave us the opportunity to do every step, rather than someone else doing it for you. It let me leave knowing that I had just made a bag with my own two hands! My biggest pet peeve is when you go into a class and the instructor starts to take over when you ask a question. This didn't happen at all in this class. It was the perfect amount of instruction!
I'm looking forward to taking more classes and hopefully learning how to sew some bigger and better things!
Tell me about your crafting classes in the comments below!
