New Year Resolutions
Everybody, at some point in their lives, has created a list of their own New Years Resolutions that they swear they will stick to for the year. Whether its to go on a diet, to exercise, or to read a book or two, it is extremely hard to stick to something for an entire 365 days. You can't really blame yourself.
But I believe the key to all things is persistence. I had a professor last semester who wold put a different quote on the first slide of his PowerPoints every class. One really stuck with me and it went like this:
In any New Years Resolutions you are creating this year, I encourage you to be persistent in all that you do. Over all, you are in control of your own actions and you can teach your brain to be positive. Tell yourself that you will go to that yoga class or that you will go the extra mile to accomplish what you once told yourself you would do. There is nothing more rewarding than fully completely and fulfilling a goal.
So give yourself that satisfaction this year. Make 2016 the best year by keeping a positive attitude. Don't get too high, don't get too low.
On that note, stay tuned for my own New Years Resolutions!
Cheers to new goals. Cheers to a new beginning. Cheers to new adventures. Cheers to the New Year!
