obsession de semaine
This week has been a crazy one! Both my mom and dad took the week off to stay home and hang out so I've been spending time with my parents all week and it's been really nice. All of us have been right on top on our exercising this week because we have the time to work out so why not, right?!
Red Rocks Yesterday, we went to Red Rocks to do a workout. For living in Colorado as long as I have, I haven't been to Red Rocks nearly enough. I live only about 30 minutes from Red Rocks so it's a convient drive and the views will never fail you. It is also a really great place to workout because of the motivation from others and getting a chance to meet new people.
Our workout was:
Run the Steps (about 2.5 miles, 69 rows total)
Easy walk down stairs
Run/Walk Straight Up Stairs
15 pushups
15 Tricep Dips
1:00 plank
30 sec plank (each side)
Broad Jumps (up/down stairs)
Finish with 30 situps and 1:00 plank
It was a really great full body workout and even better because it was at elevation!
All summer long they have great events at Red Rocks like concerts, Film on the Rocks and Yoga on the Rocks. I went to Yoga on the Rocks a few summers ago and loved it! It is provided by Core Power Yoga. They have it Saturday mornings in July/August and tickets are only $12 or $38 for all four mornings throughout the summer. It is pure bliss watching the sun rise over the city and doing yoga all at the same time!
Little Journal Update My journaling is starting to dwindle a little bit and I'm trying to prevent that from happening by doing different types of journaling. I searched different things to journal about and came across a website (I will link it below) that has a list of journaling topics. My favorite was "30 Things That Make You Smile". It was a great way to reflect on the things in life that make me truly happy and end the day on a really positive note.
