Summer Bucket List Update
Can you believe June is almost over?! Summer always seems to fly by but that's just because we're having fun, right?
At the beginning of the summer, I posted a Summer Bucket List with a few of the things I wanted to accomplish this summer. For only being a month into the summer, I'd say I've done a pretty good job of keeping up with the items on this list.
Paddleboarding The one thing I've enjoyed the most is paddleboarding. In Colorado, I never really knew of anywhere that was a good place to go paddleboarding (although I'm sure there were plenty of places) but I found a place on Lady Bird Lake that has some really great and affordable rentals. I've also started looking into some places to rent on Lake Travis because it's a lot closer to where I live.
I've fallen in love with it so much that I'm considering buying my own. I've figured that by the time I rent a board a few times this summer and for the long run, it would be worth it to buy my own board. I've done some research and I think I've found a few I'm interested in. I'll make sure to keep everyone updated on what I find!
Zilker Park I found out about Zilker by following Zilker Bark on Facebook, a dog photographer in Austin. It's also the location of Austin City Limits Music Festival! So far, it's one of my favorite places in Austin. Just like the photo above, the views of the city and sky line are amazing!
My mom, brother and I went to Zilker to walk along the river on the path (which was great!), but we stopped to take some photos on a few rocks in the park. They're great because the sit up a little higher off the grass and if you get in just the right spot, you can get the sky line in the back of your photo.
We both tried to get photos of each of us doing our favorite yoga poses and this was probably the best/funniest one we got. Jacob was in crow pose and mine was a sorta-half tree pose. Close enough :)
Inspiration Board So, I haven't exactly started my inspiration board yet but I have began cutting out some of my favorite inspirations from magazines. I've used Vogue, Teen Vogue, vineyard vines, and even some home magazines that I liked! Currently I have all of my cutouts in a baggie but I plan on working on actually putting everything together in the next week.
Other Fun Things
I was able to go to the Friday Night Lights showing at the real Panther Field (FNL was filmed in Pfleugerville)! It was such a fun experience and I'm so glad I was in Austin to go. While I was there, I also got the chance to meet the actors who played Jason Street (Scott Porter) and Luke Cafferty (Matt Lauria). It was a dream! After they showed one episode that night, I convinced my mom to watch the series with me, mostly so I would have a reason to re watch it :)
Hope everyone is having a great summer so far!
