October Roundup
After looking back at photos from the entire month of October, I found that it was pretty relaxed but exciting month. It was a month of getting to see good people and doing some of my favorite things.
The month began with some racing at the Head of the Oklahoma just down the river from our boathouse. It was an overall fun day full of racing and of course, it isn't a regatta without a little rain! We loaded boats that night in the pouring rain but that always adds to the fun; a little team bonding :) We also had another fun weekend of racing last weekend in Kansas! Our fall season is over now but we're gearing up for another season of spring racing starting in March.
The photo above was taken in practice last week. Getting to see the sunrise every morning is something I absolutely love about this sport. No matter how groggy and tired I am in the morning, as soon as I see the sun start the rise above the city I am instantly in awe of how amazing this place really is. I wouldn't trade it for anything!
The second weekend in October was spent in Austin visiting with my family and going to Austin City Limits with my brother. This was definitely a weekend to remember and I am so thankful I live close enough to home that I'm able to visit for long weekends.
A few weekends back I also got a visit from my sweet friend Katie! She was in town for the weekend and she got to experience her first OU game in true Sooner fashion (with a win of course). This was her second trip to Norman but I still had fun showing her all my favorite spots around Norman for the weekend.
All of this to say I am really thankful and happy for all the amazing people and experiences I have in my life. I hope everyone has had an amazing weekend!
