I'm Emily, the writer, editor and photographer of The Denver Darling. It's nice to meet you!
My goal is to create compelling content by developing ideas and organizing them into a coherent and entertaining viewpoint for lifestyle blog readers.
As a public relations student, I am looking to find my own voice through my writing and continue to grow my skill set. I believe the best way to do this is to experiment with the creation of content, and that's just what I'm trying to do right here.
Here's a little about me:
I began blogging in January 2015 as my Senior Project with only an Instagram account and very little knowledge of what I was doing. I used my tumblr account to begin writing about what I posted on Instagram and fell in love with it all.
I'm in my third year at the University of Oklahoma, where I'm studying Public Relations and am on the Rowing team. Boomer Sooner!
I love love love writing as it has always been a huge passion of mine (especially since math & science kinda aren't my thing...), and with my Journalism degree, I hope to be able to write for the rest of my life. TDD is a great place for me to share what I love to do.
Although my blog is called The Denver Darling, I'm currently living in Austin, Texas with my family. I grew up in Colorado and lived there up until I moved to Norman for school last August. I miss those beautiful Rocky Mountains everyday but Austin is probably the next coolest place to spend the summer. Keep an eye out on the blog for some photos from what I find here in ATX!
