Tasty Cereal Recipe
I absolutely love to have a bowl of cereal for breakfast in the morning but the downfall in this is that most cereals are full of processed sugars and preservatives. As much as I love my favorite morning cereals, a bowl of sugar-filled cereal isn't the best way to start the day.
This past weekend, I made the decision that it would be easy enough to make my own cereal that contained a little less sugar and I knew exactly what was going into it. After making the cereal and tasting it, I loved it so much I thought I should share it so everyone else can give it a try.
What You'll Need
- Bran Cereal (I used Special K Protein Cereal)
- Granola (Your choice!)
- Chopped/Sliced Almonds
- Optional cranberries, raisins, etc.
It only takes about five minutes from start to finish. Combine all of the above ingredients in a large ziploc bag, then give it a good shake. There aren't any specific measurements for the ingredients, just add what you feel you want in your cereal. When you're ready to eat it, you can add some honey for some tasty natural sweetening.
