Today, I'm going to be sharing some other blogs that I love to read. One of my favorite parts of being a blogger is getting to put my thoughts out there, but I also love seeing what others are putting out there too. We live in a time where anyone has the opportunity to let a large group of people know how they feel and what they're thinking - this can be used for the worse and for the better - and these bloggers are using this space to inspire others. Here are some of my favorites:
What Parisians Do Instead of Self-Care (The Every Girl) // This post was most intriguing to me because, as you start reading, it sounds like the editor is against this self-care that millennials love so much. Really, she knows this self-care we are obsessed with is trendy - there's always something bigger and better to come. It's an interesting look at how we take care of ourselves and why it shouldn't be a special occasion when we do.
How to Conquer the Comparison Game (The Darling Detail) // Because this is something that couldn't be more relevant right now. Although the Internet can be a great place for things I spoke about above, social media can take a toll on how we feel about ourselves. Jessi Afshin has some great tips for kicking that comparison game to the curb.
Chatting with Hannah Orenstein at Seventeen Magazine (Ed2010) // I'm sharing this one because I love to read anything and everything Ed2010 publishes. As an aspiring editor, I love to hear the advice, stories, interviews, etc. with those in the industry. They all have very different stories of how they got to where they are and have great advice from along the way.
P.S. My mom and I are headed to New York for a few days in August. I've sought out a few coffee shops I want to try while we're there - do you have any recommendations? Restaurants? Activities? Let me know!
